Architecture

James Nichols believes that Architecture is an investment in the future. The value of this investment can be maximized by focusing on each client’s needs. Determining exactly what gets built is just as important as how beautifully it is designed and how well it is constructed.

In the First Century AD, the Roman Architect and writer Vitruvius asserted in his famous treatise De architectura that every building should exhibit the three qualities of firmitas, utilitas, venustas—solidity, utility, beauty. Despite enormous changes in the world and the building process over more than two centuries, Vetruvius’ definition of Architecture as a balance between these three critical goals still holds true today.

No matter what the scale of the project or how generous the budget, Architecture that answers to client needs beautifully and effectively over time is the goal of every project James Nichols designs.
